Happy New Year to you all. May it be a year where your eyes are opened even more to the wonders of nature; when you become even more mindful of opportunities to protect or save these wonders; and your heart comes to truly believe that there are endless possibilities to keep our earth a worthwhile place to live now and in the long-term future.

Notable Tree Photographic Competition with prizes to the value of $1,500 from a variety of sponsors. Entry forms can be downloaded from Manawatu Tree Trust Projects or requested from Adie

World famous yachting adventurers, John and Marie Christine Ridgway, join with Carol Knutson of Forest and Bird to give an exciting insight into their great voyages, world record sailing feats, and the plight of one of the world's greatest seafaring birds - the albatross.  At 6pm, Soundings Theatre, Level 2, Te Papa.
