Friday 1 April "First Friday" Bike Ride to promote cycle awareness. Meet from 5pm by the Clocktower in the Square, starting at 5.30pm for a 20 minute cruise through the town centre of Palmerston North. Then to an icecream parlour on Rangitikei if you wish.
Friday 1 April Have your Say on the PNCC Draft Annual Plan. Submissions in by 5pm today. See PNCC website
Tuesday April 12 Forest and Bird Annual General Meeting plus plant and bird quiz fun. Non-members welcome. Held at Te Manawa (Science Centre) at 7.30pm. Contact Donald Kerr for more information, phone (06) 952 7000.
Wednesday 13 April The WEA and ENM present - Encouraging Sustainable Households - talk and workshop number 4. Dr Christine Cheyne will speak on "Health & Transport around town." Venue - Library Ground Floor Meeting Room from 12 - 1pm with a workshop to follow 1.15 - 2.30pm. $2 entry for both. Refreshments available. Bring your own lunch. Sunday 17 April Pit Park Third Sunday Working Party from 1 to 3pm. Meet at carpark from Featherston Street entrance to the Pit Park. Weeding and mulching, so bring gloves. Cuppa at 3pm. Weekend of 7-8 May Manfield Garden Show, Feilding. Lots of interesting exhibits and talks held throughout both days at Manfield Park.
Sunday 8 May Urban Care's Giant Pumpkin judging event starting at 11.30am with lots of fun activities including toss the leek!. Held at the Manfield Garden Show in Feilding. See Competitions for details.
