The Green Hub Centre
The Green Hub Trust has recently opened the Green Hub Centre at 160 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North.
Aim: To promote environmental activities and programmes.
Current activities:

Operates a Reuse and Recycling Centre. Furniture is restored at the centre. Goods are donated or sold on behalf.

Sells native plants, organic produce as well as beauty and cleaning products that are either organic or chemical free.

Works in partnership with The Wind Turbine and Save a Watt Companies. An Australasian Call Centre operates from the Green Hub where people and businesses are advised on how to save money on power accounts. Wind turbines are also promoted from the centre.

The Green Bike Trust uses the centre as a second shop front for its reused bikes. It also sells electric bikes. Your existing bike can also be converted to electric. Lease bikes are also available (see below for details)
PN Green Bike Trust:

The trust recycles just fewer than 1000 bikes per year.

Recycled Adults and Children’s bikes are available from the boiler house at Massey University for $50.00 and $35.00 respectively

The trust also operates a lease scheme at $10.00 week or $50,00 a semester. Bikes can also be purchased for $160.00 and the lease fee is deducted

The old Green Bikes are available for community groups to hire.

The trust also carries out private repairs and has a huge stock of bike parts.
