CityScapes

CityScapes is a community group, which has been in existence since May 1998. The group was formed to work towards the enhancement of the beauty of the city and its environs. 

Looking at Palmerston North from the City centre towards the south-eastKey objectives: 

To :-

  • initiate and develop projects including landscaping and artworks;
  • encourage the Council to have a comprehensive beautification plan for the city;
  • consult with like-minded groups;
  • seek finance for projects which will enhance the city environs;
  • encourage community involvement in such projects;
  • encourage and provide assistance to property owners near the city approaches to beautify their sites;
  • ensure the care and maintenance of existing projects;
  • be accepted as a group for the Council to liaise with in regard to beautification projects.
