Projects
Manawatu Forest and Bird is mainly involved in advocacy for the environment e.g. responding to local resource consents. However, we do have some ongoing active projects:
KIWI CONSERVATION CLUB
See KCC
Within Forest and Bird we have a youngsters group called KCC which encourages primary school aged children in their learning about the outdoors and what makes it tick.
Activities include potting up and planting out in a local piece of bush, learning about worms, zoo trips and lots more!
They meet every 2 months and receive a local newsletter, as well as a national magazine.
